Educational classroom modernization
Interior retrofit of classrooms and adjacent learning labs to support active pedagogy, hybrid instruction and improved indoor environmental quality. The project includes flexible furniture, upgraded AV/IT infrastructure, daylighting improvements and ventilation enhancements to create healthier, more effective learning environments. Durability and maintainability remain core considerations for high-use spaces.
PROJECT CONCEPT
The modernization concept reframes classrooms as flexible learning studios rather than fixed rows of seats. Furniture systems are mobile and reconfigurable to support group work, presentations and one-to-one tutoring. AV/IT is embedded into teaching walls and portable systems so hybrid learning is seamless; cabling and power are planned to minimize trip hazards and maintenance. Natural light is maximized where possible with glare control strategies, and ventilation is upgraded to meet contemporary air-change and filtration benchmarks for improved occupant health. Storage and display surfaces are integrated to foster student work exhibition and easy classroom transitions. Together, these interventions create resilient, future-ready learning spaces.
