Healthcare outpatient clinic fit-out
Interior design and contracting for a small outpatient clinic focused on efficient patient flow, infection control and staff ergonomics. The scope covers reception, consult/treatment rooms, minor procedure rooms, staff support and durable, hygienic finishes. The brief emphasizes privacy, clear separation of clinical and non-clinical circulation and robust surface specifications to support frequent cleaning.
PROJECT CONCEPT
The clinic concept prioritizes patient dignity and operational efficiency by creating a clear, secure circulation pattern that separates arrival, waiting and clinical zones. Treatment rooms are laid out for clear sightlines from staff stations and optimized equipment placement to support rapid turnover. Materials are specified for antimicrobial performance where appropriate, and all wet-area detailing follows strict waterproofing and easy-clean protocols. HVAC zoning and negative-pressure options are considered for higher-risk rooms, while wayfinding and privacy screens reduce anxiety for patients. Staff workflows are rationalized with nearby storage and compact staff facilities to shorten service distances and improve clinical throughput. The design balances a calm, humanized feel with uncompromising infection control.
- Clear clinical vs. public circulation for safety and privacy.
- Antimicrobial finishes and watertight detailing in wet zones.
- Staff-efficient layouts with close-by storage and support.
